Is the spring-loaded hinge difficult to install? Any tips?
Refer to the assembly video. The lower holes are adjustable slots.
If you install the holes below first,please tighten the lower screws to 80%. Fully tighten the upper screws (100%). After alignment,fully tighten the lower screws (100%).
Will the flip-top halves or sliding door have alignment issues? How do I fix them?
Flip-top alignment is controlled by the two adjustment screws on the first hinge:
Lower Adjustment Screw → controls tabletop height
Upper Adjustment Screw → controls the gap between the two halves
A few turns during assembly will get it aligned.
Will 31.5” fit my room? Is the 18” height right for my sofa? How much floor clearance does the sliding door need?
Yes to all three.
31.5” fits sofas 72–84” long. 18” matches standard sofa seat height. Sliding door needs 6–20mm (¼–½”) clearance – about the thickness of a credit card.
Will a gap appear between the flip‑top halves over time?
With proper assembly, no noticeable gap will develop. Our flip‑top design includes adjustable hinges to fine‑tune alignment during setup. If after years of use the gap becomes uneven (rare), simply tighten the hinge screws – it will close back.
Can MDF (with wood veneer) meet long‑term expectations?
In normal home use, a well‑built MDF table easily lasts 10–15 years. If you want value, stability, worry‑free seams, and consistent long‑term performance, MDF table is a practical choice.
