This year for Halloween I wanted to make ghosts to hang in our magnolia tree. I saw these online and was able to find close up photos of them which showed they used masks they painted and placed on styrofoam mannequin heads. Since these ghosts would be outside I was not able to use the standard craft masks I kept finding in bulk because they were made of paper mache or some other material that wouldn’t hold up in rain. I also didn’t need a ton of them-which also limited what choices I had. So I bought these because I liked there were 6 per pack and I thought I could make them work for what I needed. I ended up spray painting them because applying regular craft acrylic paint just beaded up because the masks are made with a shiny, slippery white plastic. The final ghosts look great-and the masks fit on the heads I was using. They have held up so far with the rainy weather we’ve had.
